چکیده
ETHOCEL ethylcellulose polymers from Dow Chemical provide an alternative material to tri-acetyl cellulose (TAC) for LCD retardation films to increase viewing angle and contrast through its unique birefringence optics, excellent optical transparency, and low haze. Moreover, a new ETHOCEL-based polymer system has recently been developed with new optical properties such as tunable birefringence and flat wavelength dispersion.

Canine Lameness Caused by Developmental Orthopedic Diseases: Fragmented Medial Coronoid Process and Ununited Anconeal Process*
Fragmented medial coronoid process and ununited anconeal process are common developmental orthopedic diseases that affect the cubital joint in immature large-breed dogs. Several factors, including genetics, nutrition, and diet, have been implicated in the pathogenesis of both diseases. Lameness and joint pain are common clinical signs and may develop as early as 4 months of age. Early diagnosis...
متن کاملCross-polarization schemes for peptide samples oriented in hydrated phospholipid bilayers.
Continuous-wave, ramped amplitude, and frequency modulated cross-polarization schemes (abbreviated as CWCP, RACP, and FMCP, respectively) are evaluated for static samples in anisotropic phases, such as peptides oriented in lipid environments. It is shown experimentally that both RACP and FMCP give rise to 20% higher polarized signal intensity in comparison to CWCP. The CP matching bandwidths fo...
متن کاملTraumatic fragmented medial coronoid process in a Chihuahua.
Fragmented medial coronoid process (FMCP) is a disease process that has not previously been reported in toy-breed dogs. This report describes a presumptive case of FMCP in a 14-month-old Chihuahua that was presented for evaluation approximately four weeks following acute onset of moderate lameness in the left forelimb. Definitive diagnosis of a fragmented medial coronoid process was based upon ...
متن کاملDiagnostic imaging of canine elbow dysplasia: a review.
Canine elbow dysplasia (CED) is a common developmental disorder of the cubital joint of dogs. CED is comprised of fragmented medial coronoid process (FMCP), ununited anconeal process (UAP), osteochondrosis (OC), and elbow incongruity. Multiple imaging modalities have been used to assess this complex of disorders and the severity of the pathologic changes. Radiography has been used as a surveyin...
متن کاملOriginal Reports: Case Study Acromegaly Presenting as Cardiac Failure
Felicia Anumah, MBBS, MWCP, FMCP; Solomon Danbauchi, MBBS, FWCP; Sani Garko, MBBS, FWCP Background: In acromegaly, specific structural and functional changes in the heart appear to contribute to the increased mortality in this disease. This disease is uncommon in Nigeria, West Africa and little has been published about it; also rare is clinically evident heart failure. We are therefore highligh...
